''A WOMAN has been found dead on an Ayrshire beach - with cops hoping that an earring could help to identify her.

The grim discovery was made around 10.35am yesterday morning close to the Heads of Ayr, Dunure.''

''She is described as white, in her mid-50s, 5ft9 to 5ft10 in height, of heavy build and dark greying hair.

Police say that she was wearing white gold or silver hooped ear-rings in each ear, a dark coloured jumper with a star pattern on the front, dark jeans, white/grey striped socks and grey training shoes.

Officers confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.''

This reminds me a lot of Christina Rack. I hope for her family's sake I'm wrong.

Body of mother-of-two, 48, is found in nature reserve by dog walkers two years after she disappeared | Daily Mail Online

"The body of a mother of two who went missing when her family thought she had met her son for a walk has been found - more than two years after she vanished.

Christina Rack, 48, disappeared on October 1, 2018, when she left her house in Chorlton, Manchester.

She was last seen by her daughter at 8.15pm when she left the family home and police feared she had not taken vital medication as they appealed for information.

Today, officers probing her disappearance said a body found by dog walkers in April has been identified as Ms Rack's.

Detectives are still investigating and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward."

Mum-of-two who went missing in October 2018 found dead in south Manchester

Last month, on April 13, Christina's body was found by dog walkers in the Chorlton Ees Nature Reserve area close to the River Mersey.

Christina was a neighbour of mine, lived across the road from her for over 10 years - really saddened by this especially for her children. I didn't know her well, she kept herself to herself but always said hello and had a quick chat, we were both dog walkers so often crossed paths.

Even though she has been found, there doesn't seem to be any confirmed cause of death and I can't fathom out the circumstances of her ending up dead on the way to meet her son for a dog walk, she knew the area very well and even though dark when she walked through the nature reserve, the main paths are well defined and somehow she has ended up well away from the regular paths. Her phone last pinged in the area about 9:45pm from leaving the house at 8:15pm - she was found approx 15-20 mins walk away from her house.

CSI tents were located near a large pond in the area when she was discovered, away from the path and not really on the route I'd expect she had taken but there hasn't been a lot of details reported.

Shocking though that despite searches by the police and specialised teams she was not found sooner.

Guys, just to make it clear these are 2 separate cases. Human remains found on Ayrshire beach in Scotland in February were identified in March.

Remains of Christina Rack were found in April near Manchester, England, UK.

Very sad regarding Christina Rack, I also live nearby and can't fathom how her body wasn't found sooner. There doesn't seem to have been an inquest, at least I can't find any news by Googling. Would a case like this not have one, or is it just taking a long time?
