UK - Filmed child rape couple jailed, Glasgow

A woman has been convicted of rape and jailed for three years for filming her partner's sex attack on a young girl. Lisa Duncan filmed William Duncan, who was jailed for eight-and-a-half years, while he raped the nine-year-old in Keith, Moray in August 2003.

Judge Lord Hodge told her: "In a minor way you assisted your partner to have sex with a nine-year-old girl."

At the High Court in Glasgow, both 23-year-olds were banned from ever working with children.

The female accused used a camcorder to record the girl's ordeal, the court heard.

Light sentences like these make me suspicious of the judge or whomever it was responsible for the punishment. And the judge remarked that she assisted in a minor way? And the police inspector called it a successful conclusion and that the sentences reflected the horrendous and serious nature of the offenses?

I'm sorry but I feel these sentences are a "slap in the face" to those of us who value children.

Several films, time-stamped August, 2003, were shown in court, including footage of Duncan having sex with Lisa Duncan while the young girl looked on. There was a later scene where Lisa Duncan appeared to assist her partner in the abuse of the child. The horrific films also showed him engaging in sexual acts with the youngster while Lisa Duncan operated the camera. The jury later saw footage of him bathing with the child before subjecting her to more abuse. While he was in the bath he turned to the camera and said: Hello want to join in?

Predator Hissein Atie went berserk when he found Peter Murning and William Duncan in the toilet of the chapel at Peterhead jail.
