Two women appeared in Portsmouth Magistrates Court this morning and charged in connection with the death of 25-Year-Old Frankie Fitzgerald in Havant.

Shaye Lauren Corrigan, 26, of Botley Drive, Havant, has been charged with murder.

Lauren Elizabeth White, 26, of Cheltenham Road, Portsmouth, has been charged under Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) for failing to comply with a section 49 notice to disclose the key to protected information.

Appearing in court Corrigan, also known by the name Groves only spoke to confirm her identity wearing a grey tracksuit.

After a bail application, White, also appeared wearing a grey tracksuit, was remanded in custody to appear at the Winchester Crown court tomorrow.

Prosecutor Lucy Paddick, speaking of the charge White faces, said: ‘There was a request for information during a murder investigation.’

She said the two cases were ‘inextricably linked’ and confirmed mum-of-one White had been bailed by police over the murder until August 14.

Deputy district judge Kirsty Allman said the cases were ‘linked’ and could be ‘joined at this stage’ at Winchester Crown Court.

The charges come after the body of 25-year-old Frankie Fitzgerald was found inside a property on Botley Drive on Sunday (17 July).
Officers were called at 8.04am and attended the address. Frankie’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Both women appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court this morning (Wednesday 20 July) and have been remanded into custody. They are next due to appear at Winchester Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday 21 July).
