Gaia Pope, 19, was last seen at 3.45pm yesterday at an address she had been staying at in Swanage, Dorset. Gaia, from Langton Matravers, Dorset, has been described as being 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build and with long, mousey blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black fur-trimmed jacket, grey leggings and white trainers.

Family appeal for missing Dorset teenager Gaia Pope

Gaia Pope, 19, suffers from severe epilepsy and was last seen in Swanage at about 15:45 GMT on Tuesday.

Dorset Police said a search in the Swanage area had resumed.

Her family said it was understood she did not have her epilepsy medication on her and may have fallen unconscious after a seizure.

Gaia Pope: Police and family renew appeal for missing teenage girl described as 'home bird'

Dorset Police said the last reported sighting of Ms Pope was at an address in Manor Gardens on Morrison Road at around 4pm.

She was said to have wearing a red checked shirt with white buttons, grey and white woven leggings and white trainers.

Police also urge anyone who may have dashcam footage from their vehicles covering major routes in Swanage over the last 48 hours to review it to see if there are any sightings of someone matching Gaia’s description.

Oh how awful, it really doesn't sound good. Either she was in a bad way and vulnerable, and someone has take advantage of that, or she's at a point where she's possibly harmed herself. I really hope it's neither of those two options though, I hope she's just taking some time out

Day 4 (I think) and still no Gaia ...

Not helped by some locals coming up with conspiracy theories based on Gaias twin sisters bipolar exploding (understandably if you ask me) and some taking her comments on social media as genuine and fact.

Do hoping that Gaia is found safe and well, I dread to think of what it would mean for her twin if she isn't found and soon!

The brief video clip, taken from a security camera on a home in Swanage, shows her running along a pavement opposite the building.

Just looked on streetview and think I found the house with the CCTV camera. Seems Gaia was running southwards down Morrison Road towards High Street and a very built up residential area, the other direction has a golf course and would be more remote . Do we know where she was last seen? Hoping there is more footage of Gaia somewhere.
 
It would seem that she had just left her aunts house while in distress and was running to a friend's flat. She soon left that flat in a distressed state also, leaving behind her coat and hasn't been seen since. The distress relates to her ptsd apparently.

That would make sense, the running CCTV is just metres from Manor Gardens. So she left there and must have continued towards High Street (not a high street in the typical sense) or left in a vehicle.
 
It's so worrying that there are no further sightings of her. The time she disappeared was coming up to rush hour and kids would be heading home from school. Between cctv, dashcams and people on foot, you'd think someone would have seen something.
 
Oh no. Wasn't really expecting murder.

The FIND GAIA Facebook page has vanished in the last hour or so, they were still planning further searches earlier this evening, so, not good...
 
I'm stunned ... as a long timer on Websluth, I was a little on edge due to the apparent lack of police publicity (I've come to reslise that it often means they already have a good idea not that they aren't worried) and this scenario did pass through my head but, I discounted it and thought it more likely that she had either had a seizure and died or commited suicide or was just awol ... I'm so sad that my gut was right :(
