Circumstances of Disappearance:
Bondanelli, a 56-year-old German national, was last seen on Tuesday, 3 May, 2016 in Fort William. He was seen boarding a train to Lochaillort, prior to undertaking a five day (76km) walk between Lochaillort and Glenfinnan; with plans to return to Glenfinnan on the 8 May, 2016. Police believe Bondanelli may have boarded a train on 8 May from Glenfinnan to Arrochar, Argyll. However, he may have disembarked elsewhere, possibly intending to walk near Loch Katrine and Callander or the Isle of Arran.
Bondanelli was an experienced hillwalker. He would have been camping out on nearby hills and munros during this five day period at sites including Coire na Cnamha, Lochan Fèith Easain and Sgùrr an Utha; possibly walking on the nearby A830 at times. He had never been seen or heard from again.
