UK missing persons unit doesnt commonly mention teeth on any listing but that’s a good catch. But having no teeth like in America (having them pulled and replaced with dentures) isn’t really common in the UK, quite a few ig hard living people just have rotted stumps essentially, so that was probably his situation.

Local reporting suggests he went missing in 1982 to 'go camping on the mainland' and had left home for weeks on end before. Thinking out loud really - I know a gap of 12 years is a long time, but if MP Jeff became transient then it could be plausible. It would have made him 39 years old at the time. Thoughts appreciated.

Surprised no-one answered this yet - I definitely see the resemblance! I'm not particularly experienced here so don't quite know where to look to go any further with this, but if there's someone you could contact to explore this connection I definitely think its worth it.

The newspaper clipping in the article you linked states that Jeffrey Allen had two tattoos and a scar. I suppose this could be a quick way to credit/discredit this theory depending on whether the John Doe had any matching tattoos/scars?
