Police are appealing for help to find a missing man from Ingatestone.

Henry Hichens left his home on Wednesday and has not been in touch with anybody since.

Officers are carrying out local enquiries to try and Henry but have asked for anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 101 and quote incident 1028 of January 26.

Henry is 51, white, five foot six inches tall and of stocky build. He has curly hair and a slight scar over one eye.

He left home on Wednesday morning driving his dark grey Porsche Cayenne and wearing blue jeans with a blue sweater.

Police have called off their search for a missing man in Essex after a body was found.

Officers are no longer searching for Henry Hitchens following the discovery, which was made earlier today.

A public appeal for information about Mr Hitchens's whereabouts was launched after he was reported missing from his home in Ingatestone.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers looking for Henry Hitchens, who is missing from the Ingatestone area have suspended their search after a man’s body was found..."
