Paton was last seen around 1.30 pm on Monday, 23 December, 2019. He was seen driving his silver Dacia Duster at Ruttle Woods near the River Beauly where he was going to walk his dog. Paton's car was found there around 4.30 pm that same afternoon, parked on a track about three miles from Kiltarlity, with his spaniel collie cross dog inside. Despite extensive enquiries and rigorous land and water searches, Paton has not been located
