It is just past the 6 month anniversary of the terrible murder of Jean.

'Jean's daughter Lianne, 34, said: "My dad always walked the dog before work. But I do know, obviously later on that night, she's taken the dog out twice, for whatever reason." '

'Chief Superintendent Andy Bates vowed: "We just need one piece of evidence or information - and we will get it." '

If she went out twice, and her husband normally walked the dog, does this mean she never went out to that area alone? If the dog just needed to do his business, was there an area outside at her home for that?

Police have arrested and are holding two men 'in connection' with Jean's murder - the 21yr old in relation to her death, the 22yr old on perverting (US 'obstructing') justice. I guess by Monday police will have to charge or release them? Or maybe they can apply for an extension to hold them?

I don't know how it works in Scotland.

Jean's family released some lovely photos of her as a child last month, to try and encourage people to come forward. Maybe it did. She was such a sweet little girl, with that beautiful auburn hair.

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a woman who was walking her dog.

Paul Ward, 21, allegedly killed 53-year-old Jean Campbell at Cranhill Park in Glasgow's east end on December 13 last year.

Thomas Leyden, 22, has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

From February 2015:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/jean-campbell-family-murdered-dog-5246538

A judge yesterday told police and prosecutors they had not done enough to prove that Paul Ward, 21, killed 4ft 11in, six-stone Jean by beating her up to 15 times with a metal dog lead. He described the Crown case as weak...

Ward denied having anything to do with the murder. He has a psychotic illness and was found unfit to stand trial. Judge Lord Matthews acquitted him after an “examination of facts” at the High Court in Glasgow. Ward is now likely to be treated at a secure psychiatric unit...

After the verdict, Jean’s relative questioned how police handled the case. She said she still believed “the most likely explanation” was that Ward was the killer. But she added: "There didn’t seem to be a proper case from the start... They have thrown everything they have into the case. But where was the DNA proof and all the other physical evidence?"
