Have you seen missing Julie Gisborn from the Isle of Wight?

The 54-year-old was last seen on Ventnor High Street on the afternoon of Thursday 14 July, and last text message contact was on Sunday 17 July.

She has not been seen or heard from since. This is very out of character and we are concerned for her welfare.

We are asking anyone who has seen her to get in contact with police immediately.

Julie is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall with brown hair usually in a pony tail. We can’t be sure what clothes she is wearing at this time, but will provide further details should they become available.

Julie wasn't seen or heard from after Thursday until the text message Sunday. That's 3 days. Today is Wednesday, which is 3 days after Sunday's text. Why file a MP report now? What is different in this 3-day time period than the one between Thursday and Sunday? What was happening on Ventnor High Street when Julie was seen there Thursday afternoon? Does she or someone she knows live in that area? Did Julie have plans for that night or over the weekend? Are authorities and/or family sure Julie sent Sunday's text? What was the context of the message?

A MISSING woman has been found, police have announced.

A huge search got underway to find Julie Gisborn after police put out an appeal for information yesterday.

She had been last seen in Ventnor on the afternoon of Thursday, July 14, and her last text message contact was on Sunday, July 17. She had not been seen or heard from since, which police said was out of character.

WightSAR volunteers took part in the search.

Today, they announced: "You may have seen our appeal to help locate Julie Gisborn who had been reported missing on the Isle of Wight yesterday.

"We are pleased to say she has been found. Thank you to all who shared our appeal."

UPDATE THURSDAY – Julie Gisborn was located safe, but in a confused state, in Ventnor last night. The search has now been stood down.

I'm happy to see Julie has been located. I hope she gets better quickly.
