KATHERINE 'SIAN' TIMMINS

DETAILS: Katherine 'Sian' Timmins (née Howitt), was seen regularly in the Carbis Bay, St Ives and Penzance area up until late 2016 but hasn't been seen since.

Her house in Carbis Bay was abandoned and Sian, who lived alone, appeared to have left after getting into debt.

MISSING SINCE: Tuesday, October 31, 2017

MISSING FROM: ST IVES

AGE AT DISAPPEARANCE: 51

REFERENCE: Devon and Cornwall Police, 18-000435

There's more info in the linked article that discusses some of Sian's financial and health issues that happened prior to her disappearance. It seems as if her family thinks she simply walked away due to life stress, perhaps a bad bout of hopelessness as well. Either way, she's missing and I hope they can find her healthy and safe.

Family of missing woman make desperate plea for her to make contact before Xmas
22 DEC 2017
A family of a woman who has been missing for a year has issued another heart-wrenching plea for her to make contact before Christmas.

Snip

The family said: “We are appealing for Katherine to make contact with us and let us know that she is okay.

"She used to work in Scotland as well as in Norfolk, so she could be anywhere in the country. She also has family in Nottingham and Somerset.

“We just want to know that she is safe.”

Snip

“It’s possible she’s been sleeping rough. She was for a while camping out or living in the streets. It is possible she was surviving by playing tin-whistle on the streets.

“I still think she’ll stay in this area. She could be doing farm work and living on a farm somewhere to stay off the grid."

He said her house in Carbis Bay has been abandoned and Sian, who lived alone, appeared to have left her home after getting into debt.

"She had her disability allowance stopped and was having trouble with council tax,” Mr Howitt added. “She was reluctant to stay in her house and she was afraid of bailiffs. Her disability shouldn’t have been stopped really as she is not well. She does have mental health issues."

It’s possible she’s been sleeping rough. She was for a while camping out or living in the streets. It is possible she was surviving by playing tin-whistle on the streets.

“I still think she’ll stay in this area. She could be doing farm work and living on a farm somewhere to stay off the grid."
