ooh this a touchy thing! i have always felt strongly about parents allowing their children to become morbidly obese but is it a crime? is it negligent...MOO it is...

From the above article it seems the charges stem from negligence resulting in bedsores and infection.
Her earlier photos show a chubby child, but no where near the extreme obesity from her last photos. Very sad

Has anyone given any thought to her previous medical condition? As an example, did she have a thyroid condition? etc.

Ohh it says spina bifida and hydrocephalus. So her health was pretty compromised. Still, it's super negligent to let it get that bad.
