We are continuing to appeal for the public’s help to trace a man who has gone missing from #EastHerts.

Lewis, aged 24, was last seen at around 4pm yesterday (Tuesday 19 July), when he got out of the Hadham Hall reservoir after a swim. He has not been seen or heard from since.

He has connections to #EastHerts and to #GreatDunmow, #Thaxted and #Clavering in #Essex.

There are concerns for his welfare at this time and extensive searches are being carried out.

A 24-year-old man has been reported as missing after swimming in a reservoir.

Lewis was last seen at around 4.00pm yesterday (Tuesday, July 19), when he emerged from Hadham Hall reservoir, following a swim.

He was wearing bright, salmon-coloured swimming shorts.

He has not been heard from since.

 
As part of continuing efforts to trace a man who went missing in #EastHerts on Tuesday (19 July), officers are appealing for anyone who saw him on that day to please come forward.

Lewis Saggers, aged 24, was last seen at the Hadham Hall reservoir in #LittleHadham, at around 4pm and has not been seen or heard from since.

Extensive searches are continuing in the area today, with assistance from Midshires Search and Rescue.

Detective Inspector Chris Ross, from the East Herts Local Crime Unit, said: “We’re continuing our efforts to trace Lewis and, as part of our enquiries, we’re keen to hear from anyone who was at the reservoir on Tuesday afternoon.

“It was an extremely hot day and we believe a number of people would have been in the area. If you were there, please contact police. Any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could greatly assist us in finding Lewis. Thank you.”

Lewis is described as being white, with olive coloured skin and around 5ft 7in tall. He was last seen wearing bright salmon pink coloured swim shorts.

He has links to #EastHerts, as well as to #GreatDunmow, #Thaxted and #Clavering in Essex.

Police have suspended the search for missing Lewis Saggers after a body was discovered in Hadham Hall reservoir yesterday afternoon (Thursday 21 July).

Formal identification is yet to take place, but his next of kin have been informed.
We ask that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.
