GUILTY UK - Lia Green, 3, beaten to death, Preston, 30 Aug 2012

Lia Green aged three who lived in Preston UK has been murdered suffering significant internal injuries. Her parents father aged 22 and mother 20 are being questioned by police.

Lia was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where it was discovered she had significant internal injuries.

Lia was known as little princess and was always smiling.

Lia is now up in heaven with little Carmen Ellis.

Why does this keep happening? How can someone physically abuse a child their own flesh and blood? I do not understand how a person can be so cruel and evil and cause suffering to an innocent child who has done nothing wrong.

R.I.P Little princess Lia hope you are safe now and surrounded by people who love you.

Richard Green, 23, of Harling Road, Preston, was sentenced to seven years after admitting manslaughter two weeks into his trial at Preston Crown Court.

Her mother Natalie Critchley, 21, of Norris Street, Preston, was jailed for 21 months for child neglect...

The trial heard that Critchley had begun seeing another man and Green discovered what was going on in the weeks before Lia was killed.
