Just wondering why PR was out at night. Was he taxi driving.,.If that was the case I would have thought he would have been hanging around the Welly or other night clubs.

Was he kerb crawling.

Any number of reasons.

Carrying out his hobby, going for takeaway, popping to a shop, coming home from work or the things you've mentioned,

I doubt he was curb crawling. The Red Light District is a totally different area of the city.
