UK - Man arrested in Spain 29 August 2014 over cold case kidnap, rape in Glasgow 28 August 2005

A man, reported to be a Pakistani national, has been arrested as a suspect in Spain, exactly nine years after an alleged kidnap and rape in Glasgow, Scotland.

UK authorities are working with Spanish ones to try and bring the man back to Scotland. No further details yet.

'The accused, N. V. K. B....is facing life imprisonment for the brutal attack.
One of Britain's most-wanted fugitives, he was caught in Barcelona after his details were passed to international police through Interpol.

He has not appealed against his extradition. '
