Me too Cags. Breaks my heart the beautiful young girls I have worked with having boob jobs, fillers and depriving themselves of cake. And then suffering MH because they STILL dont think they're good enough

Depriving themselves of cake?! I didn't realise the situation was THAT serious... o_O

Depressing really. There's a lot to be said for tea and cake and a natter with your real mates, instead of posed photos and comments by sycophantic followers. Like-farming, I think they call it.

The irony is by the time they've got proper jobs and kids and bills to pay they won't give a toss about white teeth and likes. Unfortunately, for some, that day won't come - I don't follow any of them whatsoever, but I'm reading about publicity stunts, breakdowns and actual suicides too much lately.

These kids entire lives exist on the internet. Friend groups mostly are on the internet. Family are on the internet. All life milestones are published and every friend/family member/enemy/stranger can see every picture with every detail. I didn't grow up with the internet and I'm so grateful for that, but, it is what it is and the younger generation are in a total different world than we were and are. I admit that I'll never be able to fully relate but I do try to understand - even if I don't agree or I think I would have conducted myself differently. It's just a completely different life experience.

Oddly, I find that most of my friends with kids that don't understand this "internet thing" have already posted almost every single moment of their kids lives on the internet (some have already made facebook pages for their kids!!!). Oh the irony in that!

I think a lot of us have struggled with understanding some of the cases here that have involved kids and the internet - Abby and Libby for example. A lot of us had and have no idea what and how the apps work and what communication could have taken place and with who. It's a lot.
