The trial of Brian Monaghan is continuing in the murder of his fiance' Nicola Bissett. The two were engaged to be married after a whirlwind romance. Nicola aged fifty-four at some point got cold feet and Monaghan aged fifty-four murders her with scissors. Now, Monaghan is legally blind, but he took his guide dog and proceeds to drive Nicola's car. He crashes the car and passerby stops to help. This being Nicola's ex-husband. Monaghan, aged 54, of Seymour Street, Largs, Scotland, was sentenced to life imprisonment after being found guilty of Miss Bisset’s murder at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday. He must remain behind bars for 13 years before he is eligible for release.

The judge branded him “a danger to women” and said that Monaghan had killed Miss Bisset because if he could not possess her, nobody else would.
