Police are appealing for help to trace a man who vanished after failing to board a flight at Birmingham Airport.

Nikolaj Wisniewski, 31, was due to fly on Thursday October 28 but left the airport before getting on a plane and has not been seen since.

His family have also not heard from him after a relative dropped him off and police are increasingly concerned for his welfare.

It was not known whether he was still in Birmingham but he had no known links to the West Midlands and so may be sleeping rough. It was also unknown if he had travelled back to Gloucestershire.

Enquiries have been taking place to establish whether Nikolaj boarded a later flight but police believe he remains in the country.

Anyone who has seen Nikolaj or has any information on his whereabouts should call police on 101 and quoting incident 146 of November 1.
