'Portia Vincent-Kirby was last seen on Friday, February 21 at around 8.45pm in Hyde Park.

'After leaving her friends, she is believed to have gone to Victoria Station. She was reported missing to police on Thursday, 13 March.

'She is known to have links with the Kent area. Portia is slim with blue eyes and shoulder-length dyed blonde hair.

'Her clothing when she went missing is unknown, however she often wears a baseball cap. Officers remain in regular contact with the family to provide updates.

'Enquiries to find Portia remain ongoing. If you have seen Portia or have any information about her whereabouts, please call 101 and quote the reference 01/7262039/25.'

Her social media suggests she was very social and liked to organise parties. She ran for election as an MP a few years ago (she wasn't elected but she got quite a bit of news coverage!).

It seems a bit off to me that Portia was missing for a couple of weeks or more before the alarm was raised. She had friends and was very social. Did none of them worry she was not in contact?

I am astonished that she could be 3 weeks missing without being reported.

I'm observing that the quality seems quite low, as though she has a cheap phone, not a high quality camera. But the projected lifestyle is of an affluent nature - exotic locations, holidays, events. JMO.

Yes and she doesn’t appear to have a legitimate occupation. Lives alone in a London flat with a party lifestyle which wouldn’t be cheap. As always just my own musings.

Far from being useless the phone and bank card records are absolutely crucial for police to check proof of life. Why do people always have to slate the police.
I expect they have information that we are not privvy to

From her Instagram, I've done a bit of digging into the other insta handle she used, which connects to various 'nightlife' activities, including a nightclub in Mayfair. My impression is not that she has her own money, but that she is 'lifestyle adjacent', eg by working at places where wealthy people hang out.

None of her obvious links on FB are giving off Trustafarian vibes, to me. Nor does a rented flat in Finchley/Barnet seem like the kind of place a trustafarian would be living - it's not particularly cool or affluent and more importantly it's quite far out of town.

Also, do we know for a fact she lived 'alone', or is it possible that she simply lived with strangers, eg a houseshare she found online etc, meaning to all intents and purposes for family contact reasons, she lived 'alone'. Equally, a bedsit in an outer zone could potentially be rentally affordable to someone who was getting paid occasional lump sums in cash.

I also feel like a 'well-connected' family could be doing more to raise the profile of her case, would have contacts they'd be exploiting to get the word out, and put pressure on police to take more action.

Someone who got paid in cash might not necessarily use their bank cards. If the police know that whatever she was doing for work was likely to be paid in cash, they might be less worried about her bank usage.

Obviously not saying that's linked in any way to her disappearance, but it seems interesting.

She resigned as Director on the exact same day as the appointment as Managing Director, strange. The company is still active.

It's unclear how Portia knew these people -- the other two individuals who are named as company directors, one is Ukrainian the other one, the woman, might be but her surname isn't typically Ukrainian -- but it's possible that they used her and perhaps paid her to file the company papers with Companies House, then resign. As a front woman so to speak who did the admin. There's nothing I have found to suggest that Portia has links to Ukraine/Russian-speakers. The company is a vehicle for two other people to post their writings about the Russian communist party and other rather odd stuff. Most of it is in Russian, which Portia does not speak. My guess is they perhaps reached out via e.g. her LinkedIn where she posted her phone number (!!) and email and stated she is open to all sorts of work. Is this shady? It could be? Perhaps not. But not advisable.

From her social media you can see Portia has gone missing before, albeit for a shorter time than this disappearance, and has some rather shall we say interesting friends.

E.g. from Portia's social media, she is linked (well, he liked one of her posts which given that she does not have a very large following suggests he perhaps knows her personally) to a known fraudster (known as in actually convicted) who is also involved in the high end party organising lifestyle. I would guess that is how he knows Portia. I don't think I should name him here. Those parties will very likely have lots of drugs and also escorts and its a bit of a wild lifestyle that doesn't lend itself to also holding down a day job. Portia seems to have been getting involved in that lifestyle by doing work advertising parties. She had an internship or something (she is a bit old for that) advertising/marketing parties for one organiser -- it's what her Instagram is all about.

About Portia renting a flat in Finchley -- it's not a cheap area, even though it's not in central London. If she could afford to rent a flat there on her own, she had access to money. London is searingly expensive now even for flatshares.

Her Instagram stories also shows her hanging out in Hyde Park with a friend on a previous occasion. So it's possible it was just a hangout rather than an event. It's a fairly central meeting point and a nice/cheap place to go for a walk, even in winter. Nr oxford st if you like shopping.

We at least know she has previously hung out there, this seems more likely to me than it being some kind of event in the park in February. But JMO.
