UK - Prince Andrew accused of underage sexual relationship, 1999-2002 *settled* #2

IMO
The King is "cleaning the house" for his son - the future King.
It would be terrible to burden William with such problem.
He deserves a clean slate.
He will introduce RF into new era.

But it is Only My Opinion!

Andrew was given plenty, some would say, too much time, to fade away discreetly into the background. Whether or not he did sleep with Virginia Roberts (at seventeen this was legal in Britain, but very sleazy and unpleasant), it is the lies he told about cutting ties with Epstein, his staggering level of entitlement and arrogance and the fact that there is probably much more to come about his and Sarah Ferguson's lifestyle and financial affairs, that have forced the Palace's hand.

He had to be removed completely from Windsor and to be stopped from bringing the monarchy into disrepute by the removal of the titles. The monarchy is typical of Britain, things brew and brew but when a tipping point is reached, we are capable of being ruthless, underneath the polite facade! Now onto another ex-Royal couple who are on borrowed time.
Bbm.
I think I know to whom you refer ?
Not sure they can come back to GB as they've burned their bridges, it would appear ?
Imo.

Who could I be thinking of?! Personally, I can't forgive them for the distress caused to the late Queen and the racism allegations. Others might, but Prince William isn't one of them IMO and it is his opinion that matters. Vast majority of Brits also want them to stay away. Any more disrespect, particularly monetizing Diana, Princess of Wales, their mother would see those titles GONE. All IMO.

I bet he’s all tucked up in his new home with someone making sure he stays put and sees to his every need.

If the King wanted a new bed, a large screen tv and some video game systems put in, it shouldn’t take long at all.

From what I’ve read, Andrew watches a lot of movies, plays video games and sleeps. Voila, as you wish.

Just wondering how long it will take for the paps to get a photo of him outside.

So, Andrew gets his titles taken away, but what does that really mean? What will be the consequence of having these titles taken away? He still remains the son of QEII. He still gets to live the high and mighty life, living on a private property in luxury, supported by the King, and therefore supported by the people. I don't get the big deal, other than just for optics... it's a bit of sham IMO. All this talk of Andrew losing his home, losing his titles, and so on, but still living a life of luxury.

The home he moves to will be nothing like the Royal Lodge for starters. Yes he remains the son of QE but to him the title Prince would mean a lot. Now he is basically just a commoner. He will not be able to swan about anymore or go to the few events he was still allowed to attend. Tbh apart from anything else it depends on Charles health. He still has cancer after several years. He will not be the King forever and any agreement Charles makes William may well not keep to it. Btw Sandringham is nothing like Windsor either. It is in the middle of no where for starters and not really near any cities or anything. He will be isolated. I suppose he does not have to travel far for Christmas dinner now.

Andrew has not been charged with any crime.

If the King wants to keep him in a home on private property, that’s up to him & Andrew.

I do think that the other Royals are very aware that this anti Monarchist movement could affect them, so optics and getting off ‘public owned property’ is a must if they wish to keep the ball rolling.

My question is, once Charles dies, will William be willing to have his uncle stay onsite?

I do not think the Royals spend a lot of time, other than Christmas, at Sandringham so it will be just Andrew for much of the time.

Of course, Charles et al can come to stay anytime but it’s rare.

Tbh Charles does go there for a few weeks a year. Not as much as his mum did though. I agree he will be alone alone a lot though and it is pretty remote. Nice beaches nearby at least I guess.

Much as I dislike H & M, I would still rather have Archie and Lilli brought up by them than by the (ex) Yorks.

Beatrice and Eugenie seem ok to be fair IMO

Well, Andrew will just have to get used to his new home. The Queen's corgis and a couple of horses can keep him company. He probably won't get to see much of his grandchildren. But I do wonder how he'll manage for help around the house? Meals on Wheels perhaps? And a cleaning lady. That should be all he needs.

I can't see him getting meals on wheels even. He likely will get a cleaning lady. Doesn't Eugenie live in Portugal now?

The other thing about does it actually mean anything by dropping the title? I imagine a lot of his friends may well dump him too so they dont get labelled along side him. He hasnt even got Fergie now as such.

From this "His move to Sandringham is also said to include an “appropriate” private provision from the King, and any other sources of income will be a matter for the former duke." I am not so sure he will. It seems like it will be limited and then he has to find the rest of it himself if he needs it. I guess he has two wealthy daughters top it up and hey he will get his pension soon :)

I have a feeling William will have a say in it as well.

“Appropriate” to them vs to us is a whole different thing.

They have peeps to iron their shoelaces, put toothpaste onto the brush for them and three valets to make sure they get fresh undies every day.

Have you seen the video of Harry ‘stuck’ trying to get a top on??

These folks do not dress themselves, grown or not.

Why tie your own shoes when the servant gets paid to do it??
