It seems like alot of resource, presence still if they suspect suicide. (I really don't mean that to sound insensitive obviously)

I think there is more to this us than we are being told

I tend to agree. The mother of a missing son is laying flowers at a place where a body has been found, and where there has been and still is a significant police/forensic presence. There seems no way she would be doing this without the knowledge that it is indeed her son's body that has been found. It does suggest that the police know considerably more than they are sharing with the public.
