Shani has been missing since yesterday (January 17).

She is described by police as 5ft7 tall of slim build with black hair in two buns on both sides of her head.

Officers say she was last reported wearing dark blue jeans, a black puffa jacket and black or grey trainers.

Lewisham Police (@MPSLewisham) tweeted: “Can you help us find 14yo Shani who has been #missing since 17/01/22.

“Description 5ft7, slim build.

“Black hair in two buns either side of head, wearing dark blue jeans, black puffa jacket, and black/grey trainers.

“Call 101 and quote 22MIS01822 #missingperson #missing.”

I get the desire for privacy with a minor, but IMO if she's missing, all possible info that might get her found should be provided to the public. Plus, her photo is out there...

Sadly this is often the case with minors in the UK; the police often don't give a surname and very little information at all. It's a double-edged sword, because the community is more helpful the more it has to go on...
