I live in Felixstowe (born and bred) and I had very close links to many people in this case. <modsnip - sub judice>. The sheer coincidence of what happened later on and what happened to Vicky would be odd in the extreme (although you can never rule anything out!).
What is really strange, and maybe someone here would know why, is why the police failed to disclose a woman had been reported being followed the night before until only recently? Surely a profile of the individual would've come in handy in the days after Vicky was abducted? What also seems strange is that Felixstowe is a very, very small place. It may be a huge container port, but the town is small. Gossip and rumours spread so quickly. In fact before her body was found, a rumour went round that her body had been found by a well known landmark, it literally spread across the town in the course of a morning - and this was in the days before mass email and texts!
Yet the report of the woman the night before I, and lots of other people, had never heard before - strange.
