Man who went missing before his arrest admits 'truly awful' child sex offences

Last month, William Orchin, 34, of Houghton, went missing from his home before officers were able to speak to him in connection with the sexual offence claims.

After being brought back to Sunderland by police officers, he was subsequently charged with a number of child sex offences including rape, sexual assault and sexual activity with a child.

Paedophile Orchin appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to a total of 16 offences
