Police have said they are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a missing Burton man.

Wojciech Gawlik, 26, is from Branston and was last seen on Sunday, December 12 at around 8pm, said a police spokesman.

An appeal was first launched to find him by Staffordshire police earlier this week in a bid to find out where he is. Officers now say they are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety and want anyone who can help to get in touch.

17DEC:

“The 26-year-old left his home without telling anyone where he was going, his friends have said. He did not take his phone or passport with him, which his friends say was unusual.

He is believed to have his wallet with him, which is likely to contain his provisional driving licence. Until now, he has not returned home and has not had any contact with his family and friends in nearly a week.

Friend Łukasz Perz works with Mr Gawlik at Smart Roof. He said lots of his friends and colleagues had been trying to find Mr Gawlik as they search the area and appeal for anyone with information to get in touch. He said they had been searching most areas of Branston, including rivers and bushes, in a desperate bid to find him.

He said that Mr Gawlik comes from Tarnów, a city in Poland, but has been living and working in Burton for "some time".”
