PROVO CANYON — A 14-year-old Chinese foreign exchange student visiting in Utah died after a fall at Bridal Veil Falls Saturday evening and a 28-year-old man that was hosting the student is missing, police said.

Emergency crews responded to a report of the fall at approximately 6:45 p.m. and the boy, identified as Kedi Chen, of China but residing in Nara, Japan, was found dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Spencer Cannon of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

Cannon said Chen was hiking in Provo Canyon with Brandon I. Reas, of Springville, when the boy apparently fell. Police were unable to find Reas Saturday night and a search for the man resumed again Sunday morning, Cannon added.

I don't know if the link was updated right now, but Reas is found dead too

Reas was found dead at about 7:45 a.m., Cannon said. He said it appeared Reas also fell.

The article says that Reas was found Sunday morning and died also of a fall? So terrible.
