Brian Hayes left his home in Grantsville for work last Friday, but never showed up. His wife, Lisa Hayes, said she contacted law enforcement when he didn’t come home Friday night.

His cell phone last pinged Friday morning just before 10 a.m. in Park City, from a tower she said covers a 32-mile radius and could have indicated he was driving through the area.

This week, Lisa Hayes has asked the community for help in searching for her husband in areas he liked to frequent, which include Mirror Lake and the canyons of the Uintas.

He's got 5 grandkids too. They have to be so worried. I assume it's been done but hopefully, they've checked hospitals. He could have had indications of a medical event (i.e. cardiac) and sought help. I hope he's OK.

The search is underway in remote areas with rugged terrain that the 45-year-old Hayes may have traveled to, including the Mirror and Crystal Lake areas. Community members have been joining the search on ATV's to help in any way they can.

“We get a little bit emotional, but he has so many friends that are coming here and helping us; just gives us more strength and confidence,” said Jeff Hayes, Brian's father. "We are just going to take it a day at a time and see what we can do."

This is about the 3rd case THIS WEEK that I've read of people not turning up to work and just vanishing with their cars.

Just horrible. I hope they're all safe..

And if you DO need to take some time out and disappear for a while, please let someone know or leave a note at home.

I'm having issues getting the actual article up but read comments.

SNIPPED:
On Tuesday evening, the family gave an update that they found Hayes' truck abandoned in Ashley National Forest. They have still not found him but have called in search and rescue.
