HYRUM, Utah — Police are looking for a boy who went missing near a Cache Valley reservoir, however, they don't suspect drowning.

Conner Bowden, 14, was last seen around 2:30 p.m. at Hyrum State Park.

The Cache County Sheriff's Office told FOX 13 News that they don't believe he fell into the water, so they are not pursuing a rescue operation but rather a search for a missing person.

Officials said disappearing is considered very out of character for the boy.

He was last seen wearing a gray tank top and khaki pants. He is 5'4", 110 pounds, and he has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 435-753-7555.


CACHE COUNTY, Utah — Police are looking for a missing 14-year-old last seen at the Hyrum Dam beach area.

According to Lt. Bartschi with Cache County Sheriff’s Office, Conner Bowden was last seen at the Hyrum Dam day beach area at 2:30 p.m.

Conner has blonde hair and blue eyes and is 5’4″ and 110 pounds

The Sheriff’s Office, DPS dive team, and State Parks are actively searching.

The sheriff's office said it is "actively seeking information" on the whereabouts of Conner Bowden.

Bowden was last seen in the area of the Hyrum Dam beach at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Bowden is described as having blond hair and blue eyes. He is 5-foot-4 and 110 pounds.

The search includes teams from the sheriff's office, the dive team of the Department of Public Safety and the state park.

Anyone who may have seen Bowden since his disappearance is asked to call police at 435-753-7555.

HYRUM, Utah (KUTV) — The body of 14-year-old Conner Bowden has been recovered after he went missing at Hyrum Reservoir.

Officials said he was located Monday morning by a dive team after his initial disappearance Sunday afternoon.

They said his body will be turned over to the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.

An account has been opened in his name at America First Credit Union for funeral expenses. Donations can also be sent on Venmo to @jessica-brockman-8.

"The Cache County Sheriff’s office would like to offer heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and thank everyone who assisted in the search for Conner Bowden," officials stated.
 
Sad news, my thoughts are with his family :(
