Lehi police ask for public’s help locating missing man

Police in Lehi are asking for the public’s help locating a man who has been missing since Dec. 14.

Damascus David Dawson went missing after leaving his work at Abra Auto Body Repair in American Fork on Dec. 14., family members told Fox 13. He was last seen driving a black 2012 Toyota Camry with Utah license plate X031ZX.

Lehi City police said Dawson was not considered endangered but encouraged the public to keep an eye out for him and call investigators if he is spotted. Police also said Dawson left medication behind when he went missing.

'Find Damascus:' Family, police searching for missing Lehi man

[...]

2News contacted Lehi police who said Dawson is listed as missing, but they would not say whether he was endangered.

Utah Investigators, a private detective firm based in Salt Lake City, says Dawson is, in fact, endangered.

[...]

Utah Investigators say there are things you an do to help find Dawson:
  1. Passive searching - we are inviting all our friends to take a few moments to look for Damscus's car (2012 Toyota Camry SE, 4-door, black, UT plate X031ZX) in places such as public parking lots, Park and Ride lots, camping locations and trailheads, canyons, parks, and places where you think Damascus might visit.
  2. BOLO (Be On the Lookout) - take a moment and watch for the car as your driving, when you shop, or even at work.
  3. Like and share this this page - the more people that know the better - with your help we can bring Damascus home.
  4. Talk to friends and neighbors - ask folks if they have seen Damascus or his car and encourage them to follow us on Facebook.
  5. Report your findings - please let us know where you've searched and whether or not you have found anything. Also, please let us know if you think you might have information that is helpful. You message us at [email protected] or call us at (385) 236-2600.

*sigh*

I don't even have the energy to point out how wrong it is that this is first we are hearing of him.

For what it's worth, he has no outstanding warrants and no criminal history I can find with a quick look. So it's unlikely that is the reason LE won't call him endangered.
