Provo couple arrested, accused of abusing their children

A Provo couple was arrested Wednesday and accused of hitting, stabbing and locking their children in a room.

Darren Justin Berriel, 35, and Rachelle Southwick, 32, were each booked into the Utah County Jail for investigation of aggravated child abuse: Berriel for seven counts and Southwick for one.

oh my word, the abuse was extreme in that household. 8 and under. And they were punched, stomped, stabbed, locked in dog crates or rooms for days on end.

May these "parents" never be allowed to get these kiddos back.
