Anthony Joel Alires came to police this morning. He's has since been charged with the murder of David Pantelakis.

Authorities found Pantelakis dead in his West Valley City apartment Saturday. A woman in the apartment suffered six stab wounds. She's expected to fully recover.

A 20-year-old Salt Lake City man was sentenced Monday to a two-to-20-year prison term for the Christmas Eve 2005 shooting death of another man.

Anthony Alires shot 28-year-old David Pantelakis once in the head outside a West Valley City apartment complex after Pantelakis punched Alires' mother during a holiday party... Alires - who earlier was talking and laughing with Pantelakis - responded by shooting Pantelakis in the head, according to a witness.

After Pantelakis was shot, partygoers beat and kicked Franco, 37, who nearly died from three stab wounds.
