Found Deceased UT - Jonathan Baker, went hiking, called son, Moonshine Wash, Emery Co, 7 Apr 2022

MISSING PERSON: We are searching for a man who has been reported missing. Jonathan Baker was last heard from on April 7, 2022 when he contacted his son and told him he was at Moonshine Wash south of Green River in Emery County, Utah.

His truck is a blue Toyota Tundra with Montana plates. It also has a cargo carrier on top. We have checked several of the more popular trailheads in the area with no luck. If you have seen Jonathan or his truck, please call ECSO Dispatch Center at 435-381-2404.

Body of missing Montana man found in remote area of central Utah

On Thursday when Utah media shared information about Baker’s disappearance, a man saw a reported and contacted officials, reporting that while hiking he believed he spotted the truck and possibly Baker in the area of Colonnade Arch. With that information, a helicopter search was sent to check the area of the sighting where the truck was spotted in a parking lot.

Baker, deceased, was found approximately a half mile from the truck. The sheriff’s office said foul play is not expected.
