As the one-year mark approaches since 15-year-old Kylie Arellano vanished from her family’s home in this small Rich County community, authorities and her loved ones say the search remains active with no confirmed sightings and ongoing leads.
Kylie was last seen around 10:52 p.m. on May 29, 2025, at her residence in Garden City near Bear Lake, according to the Rich County Sheriff’s Office. Her mother, Stephanie Coleman, reported her missing the following day.
The Rich County Sheriff’s Office reiterated its commitment in a statement, saying it is working with local, state and federal partners, including a federal Joint Terrorism Task Force, to pursue all leads. Sheriff Dale Stacey and deputies have pushed back against claims of indifference, stressing they value community support and remain dedicated to bringing Kylie home safely.
Coleman has expressed frustration and unwavering hope in prior interviews, telling KUTV she has distributed flyers widely and believes her daughter may have been coerced. Kylie had discussed running away with friends but had no contact with family or social media activity since shortly after her disappearance. No surveillance video captured her movements in the area, her mother has said.
Kylie is listed in national databases including NamUs and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. She is not currently listed on the Utah Department of Public Safety’s missing persons database, according to earlier reports.
Description: Kylie is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds, with chin-length brown hair and brown eyes. She has black braces and tattoos. She would now be 16 years old.
The sheriff’s office has received and followed up on multiple tips and possible sightings, but none have been confirmed as of the latest available information. Private investigators and volunteer search efforts, including teams with dogs, have assisted, with some expressing concerns about possible trafficking.
