Police searching for missing woman in Bluefield, Va.

BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Bluefield, Va. Police Department is looking for a missing woman who was in the process of relocating to Christiansburg.

Angel Dawn French has not been in contact with family members since May 3rd, Bluefield, Va. Police Chief M. Shane Gunter said Friday.

Gunter said family members reported her as missing to the police department Thursday.

Gunter said the family reported French was in the process of moving to Christiansburg Va., with her boyfriend.

Gunter said no foul play is suspected at this time.

French is 30 years old and has blonde hair, blue eyes and is 5' 3" in height. She weighs approximately 150 pounds.

Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to call the Bluefield, Va. Police Department at (276) 326-2621

Bluefield to Christiansburg is about 70mi. but the terrain is mountainous and it would be very easy to go off the road in places. Not good.

She has a fiance according to her social media but his social media has made zero mention of her missing. Perhaps they broke up and she's on a break, but leaving the kids is worrisome.

No information on what vehicle she would have been in and sound of crickets on her fiance's facebook. Perhaps they're just moving and there was miscommunication with her Mom. Based on her social media I don't think she is the custodial parent.

It appears so. He hasn't posted anything on social media since April. If you go to the facebook link about your post and read through her mother's timeline she has a picture of Angel's car so people know what to look for.

According to Bluefield, VA Police Chief Shane Gunter, Angel Dawn French, 30, was located by police in San Diego, California.

"She was found to be in no danger and was in the company of her boyfriend," says Chief Gunter.


Officers with the San Diego Police tell Chief Gunter that French intentionally left the Bluefield without telling anyone. She also stated she will return in a few days.

If you look at public criminal records in her home state she has quite a history. I was hoping this young woman turned her life around. Apparently not. I really feel for his kids and her mother. Glad she was found.
