2hope4 my sentiments exactly.

They were packing for a trip home. I’m sure it was very hectic. It’s a lot to keep up with 4 children.

Oh my heart is breaking.

I'm thankful for the community response. There's not a lot of missing person reports in this community. Yet it seems they do have a great protocol in place, and were able to rapidly get many resources in to help find him. There's usually a few drownings each year at the lake, and the people in charge of diving, and doing the water searches have seemed well trained, from my uneducated opinion. Many of our fire depts are still volunteer. In many aspects, our area is 'behind times' in it's thinking, yet the response to this missing boy was top notch, IMO.

Horribly saddened by the results of this search. What a little doll he was!

Was so hoping this precious little one had scampered off into the woods. Heartbreaking news. God bless his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with his parents and siblings as well as other family members. That can happen so easily with a child that age. Both of our daughters gave us a run for our money- turn your head for one second, and they're gone. How they manage to travel far within a short few seconds is surreal. I don't even want to know how his parents are feeling right now.

I can't even. I have a 2 year old boy with long blonde hair. If he ever has a little brother his name will be August. This is horrible.
