The missing man, David Hartnett, has brown hair and green eyes. He is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds.

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office said Hartnett often visits the City of Fredericksburg.

Hartnett, a 57-year-old, had been missing since April 20. The sheriff's office did not provide any details about what could have caused Hartnett's death or where he was found.

"David Hartnett has been found deceased," the Stafford County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook. "The investigation is ongoing. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim's family during this difficult time."
