Teen and 2 Other Girls Missing After Running Away from Behavioral Health Center as Grandmother Pleads for Help
Three girls have been reported missing after disappearing from a behavioral health center in Virginia — and one of their grandmothers is speaking out.
- Three girls disappeared from a behavioral health center in Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 18, according to local police
- The girls were residents at Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center in Portsmouth
- Now, the grandmothers of one of the girls is begging for their safe return
Tammy Krofek, Joseline’s grandmother and legal guardian, told CBS affiliate WTKR that she believes Joseline may have tried to contact her through private or blocked phone numbers.
However, she alleged that Harbor Point didn't contact her following her granddaughter’s disappearance — and that since she didn't know her granddaughter was missing, she didn't pick up.
“Had they called me when she disappeared, I would have answered those calls,” Tammy said during an interview with WTKR.
Tammy also told the outlet that Joseline previously ran away on New Year's Eve, but returned after a few hours.
