Investigators believe Watkins may have left the area in a grey sedan with a black front bumper, driven by an unidentified individual. With information from a witness, WCSO attempted to identify the vehicle using the county's Flock camera system, but, as of last week, authorities reported the vehicle registration still had not been identified.

She was arrested last year for assault and battery against a family member, making a bomb/burn threat and being intoxicated in public.Charges were dismissed/denied outside of the alcohol charge. WCSO was provided information that Watkins was known to frequent homeless shelters and motels in Maryland and Delaware. Investigators identified places she stayed and checked those areas, but Watkins still wasn’t located.

Deputies did an extensive search on land adjacent to Church Hill and Desha roads in Essex County at 8 a.m. Just before noon, remains believed to be of Gabriella Watkins, 19, were found.

Abraham Medina, 20, of Oak Grove, was arrested in Westmoreland County. He is charged with one count of transport, secrete, conceal or alter a dead body. He received no bond.

The sheriff's office did not say if Medina and Watkins had any sort of connection, but did say additional charges are pending.

VA loves to have other peoples names on your paper work. Also they will call you out on your most responsible parties and drag them though the system with you. IMO/ She just sounds bipolar to me .

Sadly, The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office posted that DNA analysis has confirmed the remains to be Gabriella.

I am kinda impressed with how Westmoreland has really seeming to be working on this case. I am glad they were able to find her .AND relieved that the investigation has the suspect in lock up and this family doesn't have to question where she is for the rest of their lives. This guy just stole the life of their 19 year old baby girl. I hope she haunts him.

Owens is charged with one count of transport, secrete, conceal or alter a dead body. He was given no bond and the sheriff's office says his first court appearance has been scheduled.
