Found Deceased VA - Jacob Butterfield, 23, was hanging out with friends, Fredericksburg, 25 Jan 2019

FREDERICKSBURG, VA (WWBT) - Fredericksburg Police are asking for the public’s to help finding a missing 23-year-old man.

Jacob Butterfield was last seen Jan. 25, hanging out with friends in downtown Fredericksburg.

He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a blue t-shirt underneath, a gray beanie hat and possibly khaki pants. He is described to be a white male, 5-foot-5, weighing 155 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call (540) 373-3122.

Where were they hanging out? How was Jacob getting home? Was he walking home or did he call a taxi? When was he reported missing? This doesn't sound good, it's been 10 days already since Jacob went missing.

I sleuthed a bit more around SM and narrowed down this area as where he was last seen. It was pretty cold that night and known the frequent the parks in the area. He has to be on CCTV somewhere.

When I’m without my dog, I stay solitary in my apartment up to 7 days at a time. I have friends, and they know I need my quiet solitude. It’s an introvert thing. Maybe he is much the same. I wonder if he lives alone?

"Two fishermen late Thursday discovered the body of a missing Fredericksburg man in the Rappahannock River near the Little Falls boat ramp. Members of the Sheriff’s Office and Stafford County Fire and Rescue located the body and removed it from the river. The remains were later identified as Jacob David Butterfield, 23, who was last seen in hanging out with friends in downtown Fredericksburg on Jan. 25."
