Charles City County Sheriff's Office
Charles City County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in locating 78-year-old Leon Whitehead, of the Providence Forge area of Charles City County. Whitehead was last seen on Saturday, April 13 in the 8500 block of Samaria Lane. He was reported missing today and is considered endangered due to mental and/or physical health concerns. He is 5’5” and 172 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes.
Our office did receive information recently stating that he was seen on Interstate 64 heading east bound and was looking for directions to Charles City County by a James City County Police Officer prior to being reported missing. The family indicates Whitehead was driving a black 1997 Ford F150 Pickup Truck with Virginia Tag of ZW-3722 and has a distinctive scenic painting on the tail gate of an eagle. Anyone with information on the vehicle or about Whitehead’s disappearance is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (804) 829-9265.
