VA - List of 2016 Roanoke Homicides includes unreported names

I thought this article brought up some interesting points, including when LE should notifiy the public of homicides. Would personally love to see a list like this by state.

Thank you EAG. Erin was a friend of mine from college. We'd lost touch but I was terribly saddened to hear of hear of her passing, and angry that it was the result of a dv situation that she wasn't able to get away from.

Even that isn't the entire listing of homicides within Roanoke either! I know of several people that were hit and run incidents, their names are not listed in that news report. And what's with the unidentified baby found? I don't remember hearing anything about that on the news, though maybe it was. I didn't listen to the news much last year, too many personal family members were sick, or dying.

I was just commenting to a friend that moved here from NY. Her friend's son was murdered in Franklin Co. They moved here to be safer. It's sad that there's even one homicide. It just seems the crime is increasing, especially in Roanoke and Danville.
