On Oct. 1, at 3:06 p.m., authorities received a call for a person down who was unresponsive. Once on the scene, police found an unknown black male on the ground.

Petersburg Fire and Rescue crew members confirmed the individual was dead after arriving, according to a release from Petersburg Police.

Petersburg Police released photos of the individual's tattoos on Monday afternoon as they still work to identify the body.

The man is currently unidentified but has tattoos on both of his arms. On his left arm there is a tattoo of the scales of Justice with “Justice” tattooed under it. On his right arm there appears to be a crown with words tattooed above and below it.

The body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
