GUILTY VA - Sheena West, 36, found deceased, Virginia Beach, 14 Nov 2020 *arrest*

Virginia Beach woman reported missing over the weekend has died. No foul play is suspected, police said.

When Sheena West suddenly disappeared while out with friends Saturday night, her companions feared the worst.

The 36-year-old mother was caring and responsible and would never have gone off without saying something, they said, nor would she have left her phone and wallet behind.

A missing person’s report was filed with Virginia Beach police the next day and social media soon filled with pleas for help finding her.

Included in some of the posts was security footage photos from Central Shore, the tapas bar and restaurant off Shore Drive where West had gone that night. It appeared to show her being led out by a man.

On Tuesday, her friends’ fears were confirmed when they learned she had died.

I thought this sounded awfully suspicious until I read the last paragraph. Now I'm thinking overdose.

So glad to see this posted here. I kept checking for any update and there has been nothing.

JMO- I wondered if she was drugged at the bar. She left without her wallet or phone!

I hope they are at least thoroughly investigating!

Other possibilities could be alcohol poisoning, OD, or (not sure how else to put this) choking on her own vomit in her sleep. JMO

ETA- I need to refresh my memory of what was reported in MSM before posting more. There was a lot on social media.

To me it sounded like she was drugged. JMO. But idk if investigators think so.

Missing Virgina Mom Who Vanished During Night Out With Friends Is Found Dead

Pickering said the case is currently being investigated as an “undetermined death.”

While the medical examiner will determine the official manner and cause of death, Pickering said there were “no signs of foul play that have been observed at this time.”

He declined to comment about whether the residence was connected to the man seen leaving with West on surveillance footage.

Results in that Sheena died from an overdose of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and alcohol.

May she rest in peace.

Thanks for updating. The widespread lacing of drugs with Fentanyl has really made any drug use potentially fatal. So sad.

Norfolk man on trial, accused of killing 2 women over 8 months

The jury trial began Monday in Norfolk for a man accused of killing two women over an eight month period.

36-year-old Sheena West was found dead in Ebong’s Norfolk apartment in November 2020. 30-year-old Kelsey Paton was found dead in the same apartment in July 2021.

The medical examiner said both women died of drug overdoses.
