Police search for missing Martinsville man

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The Henry County Sheriff’s Office needs the public's help finding a man who has been missing since Friday morning.

Silas Bascom Jewell Sr. was reported missing by his wife, Brenda Jewell.

Jewell was last seen at home, at 10613 Greensboro Road, in Martinsville, around 5:30 a.m.

He was last seen wearing a blue checkered shirt and blue jeans. He's 6’0’’ tall, 150 pounds, gray hair and blue eyes.

UPDATE: Henry County man found; transported to hospital

The Henry County Sheriff's Office says Silas Bascom Jewell Sr. was found unharmed Sunday.

Shortly after locating him, deputies say he was transported to the SOVAH Health Hospital in Martinsville.
