A 13-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder in the 2022 death of a 4-year-old sibling, according to the Danville Police Department.

A 13-year-old teen is facing a first-degree murder charge after they killed their 4-year-old sibling, Virginia police shared in a news release on Friday.

The Danville Police Department said that the 13-year-old is accused of suffocating their 4-year-old sibling in August 2022.

Yes, there was a confession. It's odd that the articles haven't released the sex of either sibling. That kind of general information isn't usually withheld.

why? I'll never get it. I understand not naming the victim. It would make apparent the accused identity if they released the victim's. I can't imagine how painful this is for the entire family.
