Hi everybody!

I combed through news archives and found this excerpt from Daily Press from Newport News, dated January 18, 1971:

"Skeleton Is Found Near Eastern Shore NORFOLK (UPI) Identification efforts will begin here Monday on a human skeleton found in a marsh this weekend at the Eastern Shore town Willis Wharf near [Elmore]. Authorities said they could not immediately determine the race or sex of the remains."

His NamUs profile states he has had a previous right mandible [lower jaw] fracture [break] surgically repaired with screws and a metal plate. Because of the jaw surgery, he may have had a scar on the right side of his face, and he would've received medical attention in a hospital. He possibly was under the care of a dentist, as is typical for patients with jaw fractures that required surgical repair.
