MONTPELIER -- Rep. Bill Lippert was sitting in the Statehouse cafeteria shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday, eating oatmeal and thinking that the bulk of his work was done as the Legislature prepared for its final day of the session.

That's when a crew from Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor" came in, thrust a microphone at him and asked why he was supporting child sex offenders, prompting an emotional response not just from Lippert but also from fellow legislators angered by the incident.

I actually saw this when it was aired. Lippert was visiby shaken, surprised and almost speechless. It actuslly was rather humorous to watch. Caught red handed.
