Vincent may use the last name Colpaert. He has metal plates in his right leg and foot, and several scars on both legs and feet.
Vincent left his native Belgium on January 25, 2002. He told his mother he was going to school and then work, but instead he flew to New York City. His passport was used to cross into Canada at Niagara Falls and re-enter the United States on January 31. He was never heard from again. His backpack was found in Niagara Falls with his belongings on February 2.
