It sure doesn't make Vermont a state that pedophiles would avoid by any means!

The abuse started in England


The assaults by Casey allegedly occurred when the girl was between 7 and 9, according to court documents. The girl, who now lives in California with her father, also told investigators that while she lived in England, her mother allowed men she brought home to have sex with her.




The father went to police in October after the 11-year-old girl told him that while living in England, her mother would bring men home from Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and let them rape her beginning when she was 5.

Investigators in San Jose, Calif., contacted Vermont authorities because the girl said Casey sexually assaulted her repeatedly in a Burlington apartment.

Burnham said he'd been in contact with the authorities in Pontefract, England, about 150 miles north of London, but there was not enough evidence to begin a criminal investigation there.


The girl also told investigators her mother sexually assaulted her, the documents said.

I'm surprised the DA isn't offering them a plea bargain to get to the other creeps who had sex with this girl. I know it's a horrible thing to offering plea deals to folks such as these, but if it gets those other sickos off of the streets it might do some good.

BURLINGTON, Vt. -- A Burlington woman accused of sexually assaulting her daughter and letting others do the same was found guilty of the crime Tuesday.

Jury deliberations lasted into the night Monday in the case of Stacey Parnitzke and her second husband, Shane Casey, who were on trial for the second time for what prosecutors described as "a nightmare scenario." Both were found guilty of aggravated sexual assault. Parnitzke faced one charge while Casey faced two.

Shane Casey is being held in the Chittenden Correctional Center.
Stacey Parnitzke is being held in the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

I believe they are both pre-sentence.

Must admit that I did not follow this case, but what I read disturbs me. Was there any evidence besides the little girl's story?? And when did it surface. I'd like to hear more.

What also disturbs me is that this is the same state that has overwhelming evidence in the Brooke Bennett case who was also MURDERED and they're taking their sweet time...sheesh.

The mother pleaded no contest to sexual assault partway through her trial in Burlington and was sentenced to five to 15 years in prison with all but three years suspended and was placed on probation in 2011.

She was given credit for time served and later deported back to England, Donovan said. She died shortly after.
